Welcome to SMBA!
Welcome to the Saunders Multicultural Business Association (SMBA) at RIT website! If you want to learn how to network, how to perfect your resume, or even how to start your own business, SMBA is the club for you. Founded in 2006 by Jacqueline Robinson, SAABS now called Saunders Multicultural Business Association or SMBA is a professional club devoted to helping students gain those "soft skills" that will prepare them to be effective in their careers. Whether you're a liberal arts student, an engineering student, or a fellow business student, SMBA has something to offer to you. After all, the world revolves around business!
The mission of the Saunders Multicultural Business Association is to address the professional and networking needs that enable students, particularly minority students, to maximize their career potential in their desired field. This organization seeks to mold leaders and provide opportunities for minority students. In addition, the Saunders Multicultural Business Association’ wants to engage with the E. Philip Saunders College of Business, other business clubs, and the RIT community at large.
We welcome students of all backgrounds to attend our meetings and see what we have to offer. General Body Meetings are usually held bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 5pm in Saunders College of Business (Bldg.12) Room 1215. However, e-mails and social media blasts are sent out in advance with the most up-to-date event information, including dates, times, and meeting locations.
